Xbox 360 Elite lands on august

Xbox 360 EliteOK, it’s official: the Xbox 360 Elite console arrives on August 24 in the UK, Ireland, France and Germany first, with other countries to follow. There’s no price yet but I predict under – if only just – the £300 mark since Play.com recently slashed the price of the Xbox 360 Premium from £280 to £230. Apart from the shiny new black skin and controllers, you’ll get a 120GB hard disk drive, headset and a HDMI port.
Xbox Live Video MarketplaceNext up is confirmation that video downloads – Xbox Live Video Marketplace - are coming to Europe later this year. No exact date but confirmed for Europe and Canada. In the US, Microsoft said Xboxers have spent $125m (£62m) on Video Marketplace content. There’s currently over 2,000 hours of content, from 28 different studios.
Disney Joins Xbox LiveLastly, Walt Disney Studios has just signed up to the Xbox Live Video Marketplace allowing Xbox [US] owners to rent movies from all of its studios online as soon as they come. This will include flicks from Walt Disney Pictures, Touchstone Pictures, Hollywood Pictures and Miramax Films.
